About the Role

School Bus Driver Performs semiskilled work operating a school bus, transporting students to and from school, activities

or events, and related work as assigned. Lead Drivers function as a liaison for Transportation Planners with Drivers and

School Bus Supervisors. Lead Drivers assist in conveying directions from the Planner and work coordination for other

school bus drivers based on directives from the Transportation Department. Assists in student safety training; maintains

transportation records; and assists in ensuring buses are in a safe operating condition. Work is performed under the

moderate supervision of the Transportation Planner. High school diploma or GED preferred and minimal experience of 1
